India Vs South Africa 2nd T20I: Rohit Sharma Still In Contention To Play T20 World Cup 2024, Hints Sunil Gavaskar

Sunil Gavaskar says that the Indian team's next players for T-20 can be Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubham Gill and he also says that Rohit Sharma can make his comeback in the T-20 race.

According to the report, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubham Gill can be selected as opener batsmen for the T-20 series and Rohit Sharma, who has avoided playing any T-20 series for a long time, can also be seen in this match.

When former Indian team batsman Sunil Gavaskar spoke to the organizer of the T-20 series, he said that they could have fielded Yashasvi Jaiswal and Subham Gill for opener batting. Then he also talked about Rohit Sharma and how Rohit Sharma played his captaincy very well, he gave 5 IPL trophies to the Indian team which is no small thing due to which the dominance of the Indian team remained very strong. This does not mean that Rohit Sharma is not a good captain, one bad game cannot question his captaincy. Gavaskar also said that if the Indian team wants a right hand or a left hand, then Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubham Gill will be there, as far as Rohit Sharma is concerned, it remains to be seen whether he will make a comeback or not.

Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir said "Rohit Sharma's captaincy was very good, he deserves the best captaincy but his one mistake in the game cannot make him a bad captain. India's last 50 overs under his captaincy There was dominance in the World Cup. I had already said that no matter what the result is, even after the World Cup the Indian team will play like a champion. A bad game cannot be called the fault of Rohit Sharma's captaincy and his team.

Sunil Gavaskar told Star Sports "For this game, Shubham Gill, Rituraj Gaikwad and Yashasvi Jaiswal can also perform well. If the Indian team needs left-handed and right-handed contributions, they can choose Shubham Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal."

About Rohit Sharma, it still needs to be confirmed that is he made his comeback or not.
